Shonky Shepherds vs The Real Deal
I’ve been studying the book of Jeremiah recently and getting challenged about shepherds.
Perhaps I should explain…
One of the hardest things I’ve had to try and get my head around since planting Hill City Church is the fact that I am no longer just an evangelist (which is what I’ve always pigeon-holed myself as!) When we first arrived in Trevethin I was happy operating as a pioneering evangelist, but then things started getting complicated. Unbelievers started getting saved. Disillusioned prodigals started showing up. All of a sudden I wasn’t simply in the business of looking for lost sheep – I now had a little flock of my own, and like all sheep, my flock needed a shepherd!
